Treating patients with work-related injuries is challenging, especially in the situation of suspected concussion/mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI) where there is little to no objective evidence such as imaging or blood work. This course is designed for healthcare providers who treat adults with work-related closed head injuries in the outpatient setting. Our transdisciplinary team comprised of physiatry, optometry, vestibular physical therapy, and neuropsychology will share our insights on treating this population.

Learning Objectives

  • Review the essential elements of concussion/mTBI evaluation.
  • Review vision and vestibular disorders that can occur after concussion/mTBI.
  • Discuss treatment strategies of challenging worker injuries with the goal of return to work and/or case closure.
