This skills lab will educate the participant on musculoskeletal ultrasound scanning techniques for important upper extremity nerves that are involved in entrapment neuropathies. We will teach the approach for nerve hydrodissection/nerve block techniques. The nerves to be identified will include: axillary, suprascapular, median, ulnar, and radial.

Learning Objectives

  • Identify and trace the major upper extremity nerves from the brachial plexus through the path in the shoulder, arm and forearm.
  • Learn the musculoskeletal ultrasound appearance of common entrapment or tunnel syndromes.
  • Learn the approach for nerve hydrodissection techniques for the upper extremity nerves.

Paid ticket is required.
